A Guide To Peace For Empathic Survivors
Before we get started I would like you to know. You are enough. You deserve to be loved. You deserve to be happy. Your feelings are valid and you are not alone.
An Empathic Survivor is anyone who experienced deep trauma in their life and survived the experience, yet feels constant emotional pain and has been in a state of pain for so long that their minds have become sensitive to the emotional energy of the world around them causing a lost of identity, emotional overload, self-neglect, poor communication, shame, guilt, and fear.
Empathetic survivors often feel so much they often feel empty, incomplete, and misunderstood. So empaths usually fall into the trap of thinking they are not whole and need someone or something to complete them and take the pain away. Or we seek to fix others and please others in an attempt to ignore our pain.
No one outside of us will ever complete us. This is a lesson I as an empathic survivor had to learn.
Some may call us people too sensitive, naive, emotionally unstable, or crazy.
Something that resonated with me so deeply was when someone asked the question.
"How do I learn to live, when the depth of my consciousness causes me to suffer? To constantly relive the pains of my past. To sabotage my happiness for others, and feel everything so very deeply.....?
